This Isn’t New #1

Okay I want a section for posts about things that remind me that I’m not just chasing down a momentary special interest.

1- I have been reading Jewish fiction for years, some specifically abt the Holocaust, but also a lot that just incorporates Jewish themes into fantasy rather than strictly Christian (or sometimes pagan) themes. Neal Stephenson’s books have a lot of Jewish allegorical references. King of Shards by Matthew Kressel is specifically fantasy based on Jewish mythology. The Chosen by Chaim Potok is legitimately formative fiction for me, as well as Call Me By Your Name by Andre Aciman.
